Plastic can be joined in many ways. Besides
injection moulding we ultrasound weld, a very
fast way to a strong and sealed joining of
plastic subjects.
In ultrasound welding the two parts that are
to be welded are pressed towards each other.
One part lying fixed the other hanging in
a ultrasound horn. The horn is then pressed
towards the fixed part and brought into resonance
- 20.000 timed per second.
The rapid movement meldts the plastic together
precisely in the contact area. It takes only
a few seconds and the joint is elegant, strong
and sealed.
Ultrasound welding is done in the factory
in Slovakia.
